Copywriter Responsibilities

A copywriter usually works as a part of the creative team and works along with various agencies and advertising departments. The copywriter is ultimately responsible for the advertisement’s verbal or textual content, which often includes receiving the copy information from the client.

Most copywriters  involves in  writing for the advertising agencies, public relation firms,  large stores, marketing firms, broadcasters, cable providers, newspapers, book publishers and magazines.

 

Copywriter Job Responsibilities

– Copywriters who work with an agency, often handles the projects of a wide variety.

– Works along with the creative team, and takes a client’s advertising brief.

–  Responsible for producing the original copy of ideas with the objective of capturing the target audience’s attention.

–  Attending and holding meetings with the account executives and during this time the client’s requirements and core messages are discussed.

– Gaining a proper understanding and knowledge of the product, target audience and the various competitor activities in the market.

– Exploring the different ideas and concepts for both the visual and verbal elements used in the creative team.

– Preparing drafts for various initial options for the creative director. They may either be rejected or developed into workable concepts.

– Playing an important role in coordinating the production phase and activities which involves; booking and liaising with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers and production companies.
