Customer Service Receptionist Job Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls, screen and then direct the calls to the correct person or department.
  • Get and pass on the received messages.
  • Help the customer with basic requests like setting appointments, provide information regarding the fax number or address, and answer any queries callers have.
  • Greet the visitors and customers as they enter the office or building.
  • Offer beverages to the visitors and then give them any paperwork which is required for the appointment.
  • Direct visitors to right destinations with courtesy and in a professional manner.
  • Keep an eye on the movement of staffs who are going in and out of the office or building.
  • Required to finish basic office clerical tasks.
  • Prepare the necessary documents and letters.
  • Receive and categorize the mails and deliveries.
  • Maintain manual or electronic appointment diary.
  • Arrange and organize for meetings.
  • Keep the reception area neat and tidy.
