Pharmacy Student Job Responsibilities
Pharmacy students are enrolled to a course in pharmacy and are prepared for working in the healthcare industry. Pharmacy students are taught about the properties of different medicines and also the impacts of consuming them. They are given both theoretical lessons and also practical knowledge on the subject. The pharmacy degree course also include internship program for six months or one year during which they are given certain tasks to handle. Pharmacy Student Job Responsibilities
- Pharmacy student is assigned the task of greeting the customers who walk in to the pharmacy store and understand their requirement.
- Pharmacy student need to read the prescriptions brought by the customers and give them the required medicine.
- Pharmacy student needs to assist the pharmacists in labeling the medicines.
- Pharmacy student is required to help the pharmacists in arranging the medicines properly so that these are readily available when asked for by the customers.
- Pharmacy student is also required to help the pharmacists in writing the prescriptions.
- Pharmacy student needs to ensure that the prescriptions are filled properly; they may seek assistance from the doctors/ physicians in understanding as to how the prescriptions are to be filled.
- Pharmacy student is required to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
- Pharmacy student needs to ensure that the medicines are stored properly.
- Pharmacy student may suggest substitutes for different medicines to the customers in case the one prescribed medicines are not available.
- Pharmacy student is also required to suggest medicines to the patients for minor cuts/ burns or other minor health issues such as headache, stomach ache, etc.
- Pharmacy student may prepare bills for the customers.
- Pharmacy student needs to stay updated with the latest information about various medicines and drugs.
